Meet Genevieve Raven, Trainer

Genevieve’s passion for working with dogs began with a lifelong love of animals and a strong desire to turn that passion into a career. She first stepped into the world of dog care and training as a volunteer dog walker at an animal shelter, where she was introduced to working with dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and behavioral backgrounds. That experience gave Genevieve a strong foundation in reading canine behavior, building trust, and meeting dogs where they are. Before transitioning fully into dog training, Genevieve spent 14 years as a teacher in the public school system, where teaching, patience, and clear communication were at the heart of her work. After volunteering, she began working professionally as a dog walker and caregiver, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of dogs and their unique needs. During this time, Genevieve saw firsthand the powerful difference training made in her own rescue dogs, which ultimately led her to decide to pursue dog training full time. This path led Genevieve to her current role as a dog trainer with Off Leash K9. Training allows her to combine her professional teaching background with her passion for dogs to help both dogs and their owners succeed. Watching dogs grow, learn, and thrive alongside their families, and empowering owners through education, is what makes this work so meaningful to Genevieve
